I'm Organizing a Sandwich Donation for Essential Healthcare Workers!

UPDATE May 13: The final tally for our Lost Dog sandwich fundraising for essential healthcare workers at Virginia Hospital Center is in!

We've raised enough for 8 sandwich platters, which is enough to feed 64-80 healthcare workers! Thanks everyone so much for donating, particularly our latest donors, Catherine M. Petrini, Betsy Ryan and Ted Thomas! I'm contacting the hospital now to start figuring out all the delivery plans and will give y'all an update when I have it!

UPDATE, May 12, 12:29 PM: We have now raised enough money for 6 sandwich platters from Lost Dog Cafe (when you add in my donation rounding up to the next platter), suitable for serving 48-60 essential healthcare workers! I'm organizing a Lost Dog Cafe delivery of sandwich platters to essential workers at Virginia Hospital Center. Each sandwich platter costs ~$65 and feeds 8-10 people; the Cafe says they can individually wrap each sandwich half so it's totally safe and abiding by all hospital guidelines.

Would anyone like to contribute to help me out with this? I don't have an exact fundraising goal in mind, because I'm not sure how many people would be interested in contributing, but whatever the final amount is, I'll contribute the remaining amount to round up to the next sandwich platter. I'll also make the order and all the delivery arrangements with the hospital, probably for the evening shift, as they mentioned that they tend to get fewer donations for that time.
